To begin to understand who I am, you need to know that I am left brain/right brain split. This is a blessing and a curse. It has enabled me to be a versatile person, from the varied things I can do to the diverse interests I have. Making decisions can be a struggle for me.
I was born April 21, 1954, in Pella, Iowa. We moved to a farm outside of Milan, MO, when I was 6.
I took art classes in high school. I remember doing a variety of art from carving wood to painting. Once I was at college, doing any real art did not happen.
As long as I can remember, I’ve always taken pictures. But it was more to record the things I did, not as a form of art. Photography becoming an art for me didn’t happen until 1999 when I got a digital camera.
My latest mantra is “Life is the dancer, you are the dance”
